Can you recommend hotels in Ayuthaya?

I live in Thailand, but have only passed through Ayuthaya and some years ago saw some of the temples. I have a friend visiting at the end of the month for just a few days and I thought that would be a nice quiet place for us to slowly “explore”. We want quiet time, a pool, decent hotel. Can you recommend something suitable. Thanks a lot.

Krungsri River is very decent, in my opinion. That’s where I stayed when I’m in Ayuthaya. The rate is good, the rooms are very clean, I love their breakfast buffet.
